Arts NAIDOC 2014

In collaboration with National NAIDOC Week (6 - 13 July), a selection of works from the permanent collection will be on display, in conjunction with artworks by Indigenous artists, local and afar.

In association with this year’s NAIDOC Week theme ‘Serving Country - Centenary & Beyond’ a number of local Indigenous service people will be remembered in a commemorative booklet. (Available to download below or hard copies available at the Gallery & Museum)

FREE CONCERT
12pm, Wednesday 16 July 2014 a FREE concert will be held at the Gallery & Museum by the Mt Druitt Indigenous Children's Choir as they sing their way across Queensland as part of their 'Freedoms Tour'. The choir sings in the Dharug Language taking as their theme, 7 Indigenous Wonders which explores in song and dance the positive traditions of Aboriginal life like dreaming, spirit, food, kinship and language.

After their lively performance the Gallery & Museum will host a meet and greet opportunity over a FREE light lunch before they head off to their next school visit.
